CHRS OLD WOOD GLOM

1940s Old Wood Glom

We went to Webster's Dictionary for this one:
glom \ vt glommed; glomming. 1. slang: take, steal 2. slang: seize, catch - glom on to slang: to take possession of

In the Radio Community, a glom is where a bunch of guys show up, sometimes at a dark basement or garage, and buy everything there, either to have in their collection or sell at the next meet. Thanks to reporter Richard Look for the photos and story.

We have titled this "Old 1940s Wood" because of the types of radios found here. We suspect, even know, that some collectors favor certain eras or collect for just a few years and lose interest. Or die.
When evaluating wood radios, cabinet condition is everything. Worth is mostly less than $100
